Friday, June 18th: The Wild would push across eleven runs on thirteen hits against Elite Softball on Friday Night at Rent One Park.

The Wild would score first against the Elite Softball squad in the bottom of the second inning, getting two runs on an RBI triple from Jennifer Salling, and an RBI single from Jennifer Gilbert, giving the Wild an early 2-0 lead.

Sara Groenewegen started the game for the Wild and pitched three shutout innings, only giving up three hits, along with two strikeouts before exiting the game.

Wild would add another run in the bottom of the fourth inning on an RBI groundout from Salling, extending the Wild lead to 3-0.

Kelsey Harshman and Kaleigh Rafter would start the bottom of the sixth inning with back-to-back singles up the middle. Both would come around to score in the inning on RBI singles from Salling and Gilbert, giving the Wild a 5-0 lead after six innings.

Wild would continue their scoring ways in the seventh inning, getting three more runs on two hits, including a solo home run from Erika Polidori, extending the Wild lead to 8-0.

The Wild would get three more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, sealing the deal against Elite Softball 11-0, moving them to 6-2-1 on the year.

The two teams will play a double-header tomorrow, Saturday June 19, with first pitch at 5:05 PM CT at Rent One Park.
